[Sitting alone while reading and people watching at Starbucks, it came upon me to write this, somehow]

I see the people walking by
As the shimmering stars decorate the wonderous night sky

But what I see with my eyes
isn't always what I feel in my heart

For days the laughter has kept me smiling
And nights the smiles have kept me wanting more
My mind constantly plays the sweet echoes of that voice
and the delightful charm in those eyes

It's like I've almost forgotten what it's like to be lonely

While this may not last forever, it'll remain as fragrant and lively as it first started, in my memory
And I wish that sometime, somewhere, or somehow, these emotions will be a thing of beauty

And until then, all I have to offer, is the joy I have been given
